Here is a quick guide on how to take a screenshot with the Motorola Moto G.

  1. Press and hold both the POWER BUTTON and VOLUME DOWN BUTTON for three seconds, or until you hear the camera shutter click.

  2. To view the screen image, touch Apps > Gallery > Screenshots.

Press and hold the image for files and sharing options, which will be at the bottom of the screen.

There you have it :)

If you have marshmallow you can use Google Now on tap to take screenshots, long press home button - then tap share icon on bottom left

Excuse me but I need to say that at first when I screenshot this page, it was working well but when I tried to screenshot something else, it refused to let me. I came back to this page to see if it was a problem with my phone but it wasn't. I need to know what I'm doing wrong so I can correct and test it for myself

-Pull up whatever you want to screenshot on your phone.
-Simultaneously hold down the power button and volume down (-) -button for two seconds.
-You'll see a preview of what you just screenshot on the screen, then a new notification will appear in your status bar.
-The new notification will say "Screenshot captured" and show the time of capture.
